Rule 40
Method of payment of security fee
: (1) Seventy-five percent of the annual security fee of the microfinance and underprivileged loans established in accordance with sub-rule (2) of Rule 36 will be received from the Government of Nepal as a grant to the fund. Out of the remaining twenty-five percent of the amount, twelve and a half percent up to the end of Paush and twelve and five percent of the amount up to the end of Ashad shall be paid to the fund by the respective member organizations.
(2) Fifty percent of the annual security fee for small and medium enterprise loans established in accordance with sub-rule (2) of rule 37 and agricultural loans established in accordance with sub-rule (2) of rule 38 will be received from the Government of Nepal as a grant to the fund. Out of the remaining fifty percent of the amount, twenty five percent of the amount up to the end of Paush and twenty five percent of the amount up to the end of Ashad should be paid to the fund by the respective member organizations.
(3) As per rule 39, the protection fee shall be paid to the fund at the rate of one percent of the remaining balance and interest amount of the secured loan. When the fee is paid, the member organization will have to pay twenty percent of the fee in advance in the middle of January and in the middle of Shravan, and the remaining eighty percent of the fee will be received from the Government of Nepal in the form of a grant to the fund. “13a) Rule 39a. Seventy-five percent of the security fee as per sub-rule (2) of the Government of Nepal will be received as a grant to the fund and the remaining twenty-five percent amount will have to be paid by the member organizations to the fund. A. (4) After the member institution has paid the annual security fee for a loan in accordance with this rule, if the related loan is partially or fully repaid, the security fee deposited in the fund will not be refunded. However, if a security fee is included for a loan that should not be secured or is not secured, the member organization can demand the refund of such security fee from the fund.
